CPD Non-Shrink Grout (Pre-mix)

CPD Non-Shrink Grout (Pre-Mix) is a pre-blended, ready-to-use cement base grout. It is used for grouting structural steel column base plates, anchor bolts, bridge bearing seats, machinery bases and reinforced masonry walls.

CPD contractor Looby Construction Limited, a member of the Ellis Don Group of Companies, has been a strong and reliable provider of heavy civil construction. They specialize in bridge construction and rehabilitation projects. The County of Middlesex engaged Looby Construction as the contractor for the Albert Street bridge project over the Sydenham River in Strathroy, Ontario.

The project scope was a full replacement of the bridge as the original one was an outdated narrow steel overhead style. The first steps were to tear down the existing bridge and replace it with nine pre-cast concrete panels spanning approx. 120′ over the Sydenham River.   After the pre-cast concrete panels were secured into place they filled the void between the panels with the CPD® Non-Shrink Grout (Pre-Mix) product. Lastly, a membrane and asphalt were applied overtop to finish the surface.
