Project: New Industrial Grade Flooring
HD Supply Brafasco, which originated in Brampton, Canada, has been providing construction, industrial, and safety supplies for over 50 years. With over 40 locations already, the company’s growth required that it open a new 10,000 square foot location at 8 Carlaw Avenue in Toronto, Canada.
Because of the nature of their business, their new facility required an industrial grade floor rugged enough to handle the weight of their wide selection of construction products, as well as machines, forklifts, and heavy foot traffic.
In short, they needed a floor that could take a lot of pressure, but still look great and retain its integrity long into the future.

To install a tough, durable floor needed to withstand the pressures of its day-to-day operations, HD Supply Brafasco hired All Industrial Services Ltd.

After consulting with the client and performing a complete needs analysis for the required flooring, All Industrial Services developed a solution that required a primer and coating that could withstand heavy use, as well as chemical resistance.

We took the time to learn all about the project, and then made two product recommendations that would help the contractor complete the project and provide the client with a durable, long-lasting solution.
Primer: CIPADITE® Primer ST
CIPADITE® Primer ST is a fast-setting, general-purpose epoxy primer ideal for dry substrates. Its low viscosity allows the primer to penetrate deep into the concrete surface and seal it from out gassing.
This almost odourless primer is easy to apply, bonds well to concrete and steel, and comes in clear and a wide range of colours.
Coating: CIPADOR® E-100
This general-purpose epoxy floor coating is the perfect choice for areas with medium to heavy traffic. CIPADOR E-100 is an almost odourless, 100% solids coating that offers good wear and water spotting resistance, and is ideal where there is the possibility of exposure to mild acids, alkali, and solvents.
It’s easy to apply, bonds well with concrete and steel, and is available in clear and a wide range of colours. Its ability to retain gloss and colour long term makes CIPADOR E-100 the premiere choice for anywhere an aesthetically pleasing, durable finish is needed.
Project Outcome
The contractor unveiled the new floor to the client, who was impressed with the final results. HD Supply Brafasco opened their new location and has been serving customers and fulfilling orders ever since, confident that the floor beneath will look great and remain solid for many years to come.
